James Moore was raised in New England and has called Boston, Paris, Manhattan, Los Angeles, and the Southern California coast home. The places he visits and the food he brings back have always belonged to the same story.
Travel, then the home kitchen
I don't live like I'm on vacation. But I cook like I am.
After many years as a television producer in New York City, James moved to Los Angeles and established a public relations and management consulting firm. His passion for food led him to launch Cook Like James as a place to share recipes gathered from friends, cookbooks, favorite restaurants, and the places that stayed with him.
Travel is part of the recipe. James seeks out dishes and culinary traditions around the world, then returns to a normal home kitchen to rebuild, test, photograph, and explain what makes each one worth keeping.
His food and travel stories have appeared on Amy Ephron's One for the Table, and his recipes have been published by Tribune Media, HuffPost, and Epicure magazine.
